Week 1 Day 1 Complete!

Ok so I didn't die.

Thank you guys so much for replying to my post and telling me to slow down (I think I got it by the third run that I should probably slow down further).

And thanks to my organs for cooperating.

I found it pretty difficult but it's doable (obv because so many have done it). I was never good at PE, got some flashbacks from those days. I did have to pause halfway though.

Next run is on Thursday!

:)

Fantastic! Getting that first tick is a great milestone. Congratulations to you-it’s never too early to celebrate doing something really positive! You’re right about speed-you can always slow down when you need to. Oldfloss has written a great Catch up corner this week all about speed. You might like a read here!

It’s not a message lots of us runners naturally find easy to follow but with practice, running will become easier. Remember you’re still new and learning so be super patient with yourself.

Enjoy your rest day! You might find a gentle walk, swim or cycle could help if your legs are a little stiff. Good luck for Thursday!
