Well it's almost 6 weeks since my pace maker ! It's gone so fast , and this week I am feeling great , I have energy , I feel ready to face the challenge of a pretty stressful job and am getting ready for a holiday a week on Sunday ππ
This evening I have been for a run with a personal trainer in stretford . It was so lovely , I felt confident and at one with the running community . We did a lap of the park warm up , some stretches and then intervals. Followed by a couple of k run ( delightful ) then some balance exercises.
I hope to be able to be back to my 5ks by October

That is such wonderful news. After all the worry leading up to the op, to have it behind you and be safe in the knowledge that you're well along the road to full recovery must be fabulous. Enjoy your renewed energy and bet you're looking forward to that holiday
Wow, the time has flown by. And you're doing so well, I'm amazed.
Now go and enjoy that holiday. If you're going abroad remember you can't go through the security scanners and always have your card handy. Every country I've visited knows the word 'pacemaker' which is good.
Yeah, once you get to where you're about to go through a scanner, just tell them then and flash your card. They'll either send you another way or turn it off, and you'll be hand searched and/or go through another safe scanner.
I've been to loads of places with no problems at all.
I've had a pacemaker for nearly 40 years now - and I'm only 50! So ask away if you need any help.
Whoop! Whoop! Great news Mol! So pleased that things are on the up for you. Enjoy your holiday. Have a lovely, stress-free time. Hope the sun shines and you can get some relaxing down time.
