Blistering pace ... 🐌 ... Week 6, Run 1

Another day in London yesterday, but dramatically different (in all meanings of the word!) from Wednesday. I followed Shakespeare with a bang-up-to-date musical offering in a little theatre. And whereas I struggled to make it home at all on Wednesday, I did 10,000 steps in London yesterday ... in 36 degrees ... in sandals. 🎭

So just as my latest bug has been fought off, a nice collection of blisters is my reward for fast walking in sandals! 🦢🏻🩹

But after the enforced break I was determined to get back to C25K. πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

I remember being bemused by this one last time around: my 20 minute run being followed by 5/8/5. It clearly worked last time and I have faith it'll get me through this time. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

So - 30 minutes of Adrienne Yoga, some warmup stretches, extreme application of plasters, and then off I went. I didn't want to stop after 5 and was frustrated to stop after 8, but I went with the programme and got through the runs in the mid-twenties, pre-8 o'clock heat. I think this is the hottest I have run in. 🧘

A few gentle stretches in the garden. A cool shower. Now I wait for my lady to do her Fiton and then we're off for our delayed coffee date. β˜•οΈ

Happy Sunday!

🍏 ouch 😣 look after those blisters! Phew it must be hot πŸ₯΅ in London!! Bad enough here in the NE. I admire your commitment to Strength and Flex .. no wonder you are itching to do more on the run! So well done for staying with the program & completing 6:1 which is a tricky one! Doing it in the heat and with blisters earns you that delicious coffee β˜•οΈ Enjoy!!!!

Well done for keeping with the programme, even though 6:1 is a tricky one.

Take care of those blisters! I’m sure you won’t be going for a long walk again in sandals!

I can't remember 6:2, and am not looking it up, so if all goes well I may be in for a pleasant surprise on Tuesday!
