Enjoy each run and each week, nice and steady and you will be on week 9 before you know it!

Thanks. I'll let you know though "enjoy" seems like an awfully strong verb! :)

Welcome! This is the place to come to get you through - take it slow and steady and you may be surprised at just how enjoyable (and addictive!) this journey is! Lots of luck🙂

Just think of one run at a time. Even repeating some runs and taking extra rest days it all seemed to go past mighty fast in the end! Good luck. Are you using the podcasts in which Laura gives you coaching? I recommend them and this forum for all the support and advice you might need

Thanks. I downloaded a Couch25k podcast I saw on the BBC website. I get Michael Johnson as my trainer :) IS that the same one?

Same format I think but I don't know if you get all the advice. You probably do but with a different voice? Don't know how well the app works. I expect others will be able to tell you. The podcasts include music too so less faffing about if you want music to run too. The music isn't to everyone's taste but not knowing what's next distracted me nicely in the harder bits!

Ah, no music on this one which I thought was an omission. Do you have a URL for your one?

Here it is! Much better with music, naff as it is, & as an added bonus Laura spurs you on at just the right time! Happy running :-) and don't be surprised if you get addicted - only completed first 2 weeks but look forward to the next run.

One foot in front of the other, one stage at a time. 'Slow and steady' is what gets the 'Graduates' there :)

Use Laura's podcasts they really are fab. I'm on week 8 now having started in March and having to take a couple of months off due to injury.

Here before you know it... and you will wonder how the heck you got there.

Slow and steady and it will be fine! :)

Welcome aboard! Even if you repeat weeks and take it slowly, you'll still see the steady improvements that come from following the programme - and yes, you'll even find at some point that you're enjoying it! For the first few weeks, I enjoy the 'having done it', rather than the actual doing - then I start having brief moments during a run where I think 'hey, this is good, I can do this and it feels fine!'. And some time after that I get to 'OK, the first couple of minutes always suck, but after that it's basically enjoyment. And there's always the satisfaction afterwards too! ;)

So yes, happy running! :)
