So, I have just competed week 1 and so far, so good! I have found it made me cut down on what I would normally have drunk in wine on a Friday as I knew I was running Saturday morning, so that's an added bonus. I am 46 I need to lose about 3 stone and have high blood pressure. This has for the first time since nov 2011 motivated me to get off my lardy backside and do more! I was also motivated by a small health scare, having had to spend a night in hospital almost 2 weeks ago in cardiac care! Luckily no bad news found, but I don't want to go there again! Just want to say that this forum has also helped motivate me in terms of seing how people are pushing through tough bits and then keeping on and succeeding. I hope my story goes like that too!
Just started :): So, I have just competed week... - Couch to 5K

Well done to start and welcome to this community! I doubt I would have got til the end of the program without it -often just reading some of the posts made me feel like going out and run (although some other times they can be so fun to read that I end spending too much time sitting at the computer...)!
well done you... I only started a year ago and I am 43...there are many on here alot older too. You will find this site a real support...good luck on your journey and the weight loss
