Istarted couch25K last week; I completed week two, run 1 today. I’m 52 and haven’t run for many years. So far I’ve been enjoying the program and the fact that it’s got me jogging three days/week. I stopped jogging years ago because I found I wasn’t really enjoying it. Hoping to complete the whole program and that my good experience continues!

Congratulations to you Gildamonster on completing week 1 and run 1 of week 2 of C25K, glad that you have started running again after a long break after not enjoying it years ago, I hope you will enjoy running this time, take all the runs slowly, you can repeat any runs or week's if you wish to, drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration, no running on consecutive days as that could cause a injury, good luck for your running journey with C25K.

Thank you, I did read the guide and found it helpful. I’m really working on taking it slow (sometimes my jog is slower than my walk lol!) for fear of taking on too much too fast. Finished week two, run two today, and still feeling pretty good! Thanks for the encouragement!

Fantastic to hear! Lots of newbies report running slower than they jog-that doesn’t matter at all. You’ve still got flying feet when you run and every time you do, you’re getting fitter and stronger. I hope you dodged the worst of the rain. I’m on a rest day and have just got back from a very wet walk!

Bring on your next run-you’re doing so well! 🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♀️

Ah, well luckily I’m in Massachusetts, where the sun is shining and temps are warm! I did get caught in the rain week 1, and found it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be! Thanks again for the support, it’s super helpful😊
