Well done on getting started, in many ways you have done the hardest part.

Take the running intervals as slow as you can, even it it feels like you can't run any slower - try.

You have two more runs for week 1 by the time you have completed those, you will be ready for week 2.

I remember the feeling on week 1. Don't worry, you're only going to better!

33.33 % of Week 1 already done and dusted.

.

Well done!

Just two more runs to Week 2 of the programme!

The best advice I got was run slowly and then slow down, then the programme works for anyone, no matter their level of fitness. I was the same as you less than a year ago and now I run 5 to 7k 3 times a week, with a few 10ks thrown in 😀 You will find it easier in time 😊

I run so slowly that someone overtook me by walking briskly this week. Slowly is really good, then week 2 will feel a lot easier. I'm on week 4 and it's starting to come together. Good luck!

I found the first couple of weeks the hardest and nearly gave up. I too hadn't run since school over 30 years ago and had forgotten how to run. Then by tje end of week 3 I suddenly found my running gait and wasn't getting so out of breath nor was I aching after. So I promise it does get easier. Well done for starting - you will feel the benefits soon. Keep posting on here - I find it really helps. Good luck! X

Week 1 took me somewhere between 12 and 18 attempts... I never needed to do an 'extra' session of any other C25K runs. So in my experience, it is all easier from now on!

Congratulations on your first run! The hardest part is behind you :)

I am in the middle of the program, in some ways it IS getting easier. Just listen to Laura, keep it nice and steady (even slow). If you need to repeat some runs, don't feel bad about it. But you should be able to follow Laura, as the program really works. Even you think you cannot do it, if you run slowly and you actually go for the run, you will discover that YOU CAN DO IT ;)

All the best
