Hello Everyone.

I've always been active up until my mid 40's. I served 24 years in the Army which really took its toll on my body.

Since I left I have been sat behind a desk doing nothing, the weight has piled on, I'm 55 years old and seriously need to get a grip.

My wife and I did our Week one, Day one yesterday and we both felt ok so looking forward to completing this in 9 weeks.

Which OCR are you going to go for? That's a fantastic goal to aim for! Is your wife going to do it with you? Lovely that your both going for the c25k together. Best of luck with your next run :)

Hi,

I'm aiming for the Xrunner 5k which will take place in Derbyshire so I don't have far to travel.

My wife has expressed an interest in having a go too which is great.

Our son is a top UK OCR competitor (he finished 82nd in the world last year at the World Championships in the US) and I want to do it without him knowing so I can surprise him when I've completed it. He'll be gobsmacked!

Something in common then - mad about OCR sons! He will be totally made up if you manage to keep it a secret and surprise him. Is he off to Canada in October for the Worlds?
