First run post graduation - so close!

Well I have decided to start running distances rather than obsessing about time. My graduation run was 3.67K in 30 mins so my first goal was 4K round the park. I got to the end of the park and my Fitbit hadn't said 4K and decided I couldn't manage anymore but couldn't see the distance I had run. After I finished I checked the distance it was 3.97K!!!!! So a few more steps and I would be there, next time 😊😊

That's the way forward, natblonde - in my humble opinion, it's best to consolidate endurance, then work on speed. You'll get your 4k next time, for sure :)

Yes I agree, still waiting to start enjoying though!!!!

I know what you mean. Some of my runs I just can't wait to finish because I'm not in the right frame of mind. The enjoyment always comes at the end, though, when you can tuck another run under your belt and pat yourself on the back for getting out there.

Yay nearly at 4k. You will get there next time and then gradually onwards ☺

I understand your frustration! Looking a my run history on Endomondo my runs on week 9 were 3.78, 3.82, 3.99 km 😑. You could always try rounding them up to 1 significant figure (my husbands suggestion, bless him) and that becomes the magical 4km! Good luck with your future runs, you'll be running 5km before you know it πŸƒπŸƒπŸƒπŸƒ
