W6R1-that was hard

Did the above run this morning and took onboard all the advice about taking it slow. But God it seemed hard, my legs felt like lead from the first to the last second. At the end I seemed to have enough puff to go a bit further, but my legs wouldn't have let me even if I wanted to 😂

Do you think it's the heat of just a bad run? I am doing that run next and worry I will find it hard to stop running walk and then have to pick up pace again. I am going to try when it's cooler maybe evening.

Weather was quite nice so can't blame that , it's my legs that suffer prob because of the weight they have to carry 😱

I found wk6 run1 hard, after wk5 run3 thought it was gonna be a breeze, but it catches you out. It does get easier though. Slow and steady is the key. Good luck with the rest of your runs.🐵

Great.. well done.. you had breath left, even if the legs were not playing ball :)

It is very warm and probably that did not help! I run before 7 to 7.30 and I am finding it warm even then!

Keep it slow and steady and you will get there:)

Yes I was the same. Knee twinged following w5r3 and again on this one but worse and now the other knee started today at work when I wasn't even bl**dy moving!! What's that about? Take comfort, you have good lungs and heart. Maybe rest an extra day? That's what I'm planning. Hope it passes quickly.

I found this one hard, I think it's the mental side of walk breaks after the euphoria of wk5 run 3. There were quite a few posts on here warning this was a hard one to do and yeah it most definitely was!

But onwards and upwards! That ones history now x

Yep this is a bit of a tricky week. Tests your stamina I think as well as your mental strength.

First one chalked off Gary , 2 to go then its back to straight runs to Graduation. You can do this ! :-) xxx

Sometimes it happens, but you did it and now you are stronger. Be proud!

Worst one I've done (except w4r3 for some reason) but you did it, tick it off and move on, as someone said to me last week! 😀
