I graduated C25K a couple of years ago and continued running for a few months afterwards - never far and never ever fast but running regularly, then, for various reasons, I became depressed and hardly left the house. My black cloud has lifted but a young friend has just been diagnosed with double breast cancer. To stop myself falling back I've been counting my personal blessings and signed up for 'Race for Life' in Leicester in July. This is a very tall order for me (I am 65 and very overweight). Please wish me luck, my first run W1R1 will be tomorrow morning, I'll keep you updated about my progress and having to do that will, hopefully, keep me motivated.
Trying again: I graduated C25K a couple of years... - Couch to 5K
Trying again
Hi - well done for signing up for 'Race for Life' and I wish you luck for starting the programme again and W1R1 tomorrow! Let us all know how it goes!
Hello glad to hear you're back out there. Good luck, it's true that sometimes the only thing that makes sense is to run.
I'm so sorry about your friend. That's awful news. But you've got the right attitude and running is a great de-stresser so I hope it brings you some strength and comfort in the weeks ahead. Welcome back, well done in starting again and all the very best of luck.
Hi and welcome back, a great goal to motivate you 😊
Wonderful... well done!
Slow and steady...keep posting and take all the support that we will offer...
Moving forward with motivation such as you have... you will do this! You will run for you and for your friend.... |
Thank you all for your support, I've put the podcast on my little gadget, possibly an MP3?, got all my clothes laid out ready and sorted my breakfast for when I get back. I'm ready
I put a new post on this morning - I did it and it felt good, next run on Saturday early morning before anyone else is about. Thank you for asking, support means a lot.
