Well I'd got up to Week 6, and then failed, big style. And left it a month before I decided enough was enough and I want to try again. But I want to stay motivated, so I searched for a club I could maybe aim towards.
Luck was on my side, my local running club was just about to start the Couch-2-5k plan for beginners who want to join the club. So I've just been for my first group run!
It was very different to running on my own, but it was lovely, even though I wasn't really talking to people while running, and I didn't stick with a particular person. Running with a group really stopped me feeling lonely on my run. And on the walking parts I met some new people and it was very social!
The club only does one run a week as a group, so I'll still be jogging by myself twice a week, but hopefully knowing I need to be ready for the next group jog will keep me motivated this time!
Am feeling a lot happier now I've started up again!

Hey Hatti, well done you for starting again, it's really hard even if you only stop for a little while. I've graduated now and am really determined not to lose motivation, I know if I stop that will be the end of it as I've stopped lots of things in the past. I mustn't lose all the fantastic benefits I've gained, particularly sleeping much better. The running club sounds great and gives you something to work towards and look forward to. Don't give up, always come to the site for inspiration and motivation. I'll be looking out for your updates and willing you on.
Congratulations on graduating! I bet you feel great, I can't wait for that feeling too! Thank you for telling me your experience, it always helps to see how well people are doing once they've finished. Shows the light at the end of the tunnel!
The running club does sound great, I have only done my W1 R1 (R2) today but I did feel a little lonely, probably because It was blowing a gale, hamering down with rain and I was in the back lanes on my way to the local beach!
Well done for not giving up! Going back to it, even when you got so far and stopped is amazing
