Parkrun

I decided to try our local Parkrun this morning accompanied by my daughter (running partner), weather was perfect a bit chilly but fine and sunny.  Our run was supposed to be for 22 mins continuous so we thought we would do that and then just see what else we could manage but was quite prepared to walk if needed.  Had a bit of a sleepless night having nightmares about leaving my barcode in my other jacket etc so wasn't feeling too bright and breezy.  Well unbelievably we managed to run the whole 5K in 33 minutes didn't stop to walk at all.  I feel fantastic but mainly amazed that we have progressed to this stage - I really feel like a runner now.  The whole atmosphere of the parkrun was so supportive, everyone cheering you on and shouting encouraging things really lovely.  On a bit of a high now and walking round with a big grin on my face :)

Thank you, I really was one of the least sporty people you can imagine before all this so it is still a source of amazement to me!

I was volunteering at ours this morning, loads of mud and puddles, it was brilliant! No better way to start the weekend!

Well done again, Mrs speedy!

Oooh yes, that's the parkrun effect! You had some better weather than we at Abingdon this morning, slip silding around by the river, but still great fun as usual!

Well done! I did parkrun myself too this morning for the 11th time. We had a record turnout at my local parkrun - I was super pleased as I can't help thinking it was down to the sad news of Little Stoke parkrun this week - everyone supporting parkrun together! Well done on your fantastic achievement of getting around in 33 mins! :)
