PBs are not very important, just getting out there is what counts. It is quite nice though when Mr Garmin chirps up at the end of a run to say that you've got a new PB. Only 30 seconds better than the previous one but made me smile 5km in 26mins 45 seconds

I like it! 30 seconds is a huge slice to take off. Well done - I was doing that sort of time last summer a few months after graduating. I'm now at 23:31 - maybe you'll be soon
Good grief, 23:31 !! that sounds amazing to me I'd love to think that I'll eventually get a time like that It's not a high priority for me getting faster times, but they are nice to have
My priority is increasing the distance of my sunday run. It's at 16km this month, and I'm trying to add 1 km each month. When I get to 21km then I think I'll stay at that distance for a while and start trying to improve the time to do it. 16 km currently takes me normally around 1h45, sometimes longer say 1h55. The first 5 km normally under 30mins, then the 10km just over an hour, then the last 6km are really pretty slow.
Thanks AM. I don't really try hard for speed, I know I'm never going to be very fast, but I think if you just keep running 3 times a week then your speed just creeps up slowly without you really noticing
