First things first, a big thanks to all who replied to my first post, the motivation does keep you going.
My first day went really well. I was up and about at 5.45am this morning, all geared up and ready to go. I felt great and the fresh air and quiet streets where fantastic. I started off slow but managed to stick the program in full. My final run was tough but I put in extra effort and speed. The feeling was good and I am already looking forward to my next run.
My only issue is that the top of my leg began to ache a little around 10 o'clock this morning and continued throughout the day, I have probably used a muscle I didn't know I had. All in all a great first day, and once again thanks for all the feedback.

ive posted asking for some help re the app so hopefully someone will reply
Hi There, I was playing some music when it was interrupted by instructions to start running, that is great, however the music did not resume. I had to manually start it again. This might get a bit irritating if you have to restart your music after every instruction. I will try on Wednesday. I am also going for Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Well done Erik. We knew you could do it. It is really hard just getting started but you're in the programme now. I am sure you'll see it through. If you're asking your body to do unaccustomed things, it is normal to get some aches and pains. You can help minimize this by not trying to run fast and doing the stretches for after your run up on this website.
I do use the app with my own music. I start my playlist first, then start the app after a few seconds. It usually works ok but as others have said, sometimes the app does play up and you have to start it all again! But saying that, it seems to work most of the time ok.
I did try the podcasts but I couldn't stand Laura's music!
