W4R3 Definitely more rhythm!

Yay! Definitely more rhythm now. Managed the 5 minute runs. Don't know how I'm going to do 8 minute runs next week. I couldn't get a sneaky 6 minute run in today. Too tired! On a more positive note the idea of running outside is appealing to me more as I do feel more confident but I'll wait and see. One step at a time!

Have a great weekend everyone πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

You totally said it, literally one step at a time. Focus on now, not next.

Slow and steady!

Running outside, brilliant.. just go for it and know you can do it :)

I love running outside. The fresh air, the changing scenery and terrain. Think I'd have given up long ago if I'd tried the treadmill (I'm not a gym member anyway).

Running outside gives you a sense of freedom that you won't get on a treadmill so maybe take advantage of this spring weather and go for it on W5. Good luck!

I've never "done" the gym. Hate it. It's so boring. My exercise of choice would have been aerobics then I did Zumba a few years ago and loved it. However the running is something I did at school and have always talked about doing and am using the gym as a means to an end. I go in put my head down and get on with it. I don't really engage with anyone apart from saying hello because I want to be in and out asap. Otherwise I would be there all day talking to people and not running!!!! πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

I have been a gym member twice but after a promising start would never go enough for it to be value for money (which is their whole damn business model). It always used to boil down to going in once a week for a desultory 20 minutes on the crosstrainer.

What I like about C25k is it's totally free and there's no faffing about with gym bags or travelling anywhere to do the exercise. I just go out the front door.
