At the age of 61, it's time to get fit so I started the zero to 5k programme today. Will do The Colour Run later this year and go from there unless I can do a 5k run before then.

If I can do it - so can you!! :)

AAh! 61 --- I can remember being 61 very well - I was just a slip of a lad then:) You are way ahead of me in the race for fitness. :)

I would say, well done... You have given yourself a challenge, you have determination, you want to change your life. Take it slow, take it easy, listen to your body; it may not be easy but I am sure it is do-able. This is a great program but don't rush it. 9 weeks or more - who cares? Every step you take you will thank yourself for getting out there, you are making a difference. If you're not used to exercise there may be some niggles on the way, don't ignore them but don't let them put you off. Good luck! Xx

Congratulations and 1st run and welcome to the gang.

We are an amazing mix....but all have one thing in common starting and then graduating from C25K.

The support, encouragement and fun will get you through those good bad and ugly runs.

Good luck for run 2

Well done that's brilliant. I finished W1 yesterday which I didn't think I'd do so if I can do it you definitely can (your age is just a number) The support of this group is amazing, they'll help, support 7 encourage you from beginning to end & well after that.

Good luck with this week :)
