I went for my first run yesterday evening! It felt so nice to be out in the countryside, and getting fresh air. Starting off the "couch to 5k" programme at a slow and steady speed to begin with but I'm looking forward to it!!

Excellent. Good for you.

You're on the journey now, no getting off.

There are a bunch of us that will hopefully graduate on or around Christmas.

Wont that be amazing.

Great work, sounds like you've got this nailed already, slow and steady wins it.

Great for getting started . Like you say go slow and slower again if needed and make sure you're drinking plenty water about 2-3 litres per day and not just on run days.

C25k is an amazing plan and really does work you'll get lots of encouragement and support on here good luck 😊

Welcome to the group. Delighted to see you starting off slow and steady. There is nothing wrong with continuing slow and steady too. Moving the muscles gently is often better than going flat out. Think Yoga, tai chi, slow steady movements! Great and so good for you. Over on the right you will find a note headed FAQ POSTS. Go and have a look at that. See what it says about starting in the group and starting Week1, then keep coming back to it for more advice and answers.

Make the most of the sun and warmth and enjoy tomorrow’s run.

Well done, that is great! Keeping it slow and steady is definitely the answer! Keep on keeping on!

Congratulations on starting C25K with run 1 of week 1, just take all the runs slow and steady, remember that you can repeat any runs or week's if you wish, I hope you won't need to do that because when you graduate that will around Christmas, what a great Christmas present that would be for you, but what's more important is to enjoy your runs πŸƒπŸΎ πŸ‘
