I repeated both week 1 and 2, so by the time I started week 3 I had already done four weeks if you get my drift. I am now on week 4, which I am struggling with, but my motto is I have plenty of time, so repeat as necessary. Best idea I would think is to try week 3 and see how you get on, I was surprised when I found it wasn't as tough as I imagined. You are doing well, you are off the couch!
Well done for getting off the couch and for completing weeks 1 and 2.
If you find breathing difficult, slow down and it'll all be much easier. Week 1 is usually the worst week, and it does get easier.
One thing about c25k is no-one feels ready for the next week, but mostly you are. c25k is not easy though, it takes guts and determination and it's hard work. The rewards though are fantastic in terms of the sense of achievement for completing each week and especially when you do your first 20 minute run and then when you graduate.
Post back on yoru progress
Yes, just to add to the replies here, you don't need to get a notary when you sign that contract to complete Week X, ever. So you're always free to just experiment. If you feel brave, give the next goal a go. What's the worst that can happen? Failure? Who's afraid of something petty like failure round here? Fail gloriously, then go back and do some more preparation for your next assault on your own personal next Everest. There's honour in that, not shame! As long as you just use your common sense, you can fit the programme to yourself. That's actually how it was originally intended to be used, anyway.
And although it doesn't get easier, every attempt you make is making you fitter. It gets harder, but your fitness will be enough to override that.
A mate of mine would tell himself when he needed to be brave: "Life's hard, but I'm harder." (That's possibly not true, but the truth of fictitiousness of it is not really the point).
Don't worry, 9 weeks is a guideline not a deadline. You can repeat weeks and/or individual runs as often as you want. Better to complete the programme slowly than to try go too quickly and give up. Good luck
OMG ..... went out today with my friend 1st day of week 3 managed the first 3 mins then on on the 2nd 3 min run I only managed 2 mins due to the fact I thought Laura had said it was done then I couldn't get back into the run a little disappointed on way back done a few short runs to make up for it but still happy I've managed this far 😊
