Week 9. Day 1 completed. Not graduated yet. But does this make me a proper runner? Every run has been difficult but I've kept pushing and got through each.
Life has been insane lately and this running lark is all that has kept me sane.

We are told we are proper runners at the end of Week 6, Run 3. Distance does not enter into that definition. At least 90% of people doing this programme do not achieve 5K when they finish, despite the name, but they are still runners and worthy of kudos no matter what their pace might be.
I think that I reached the 5k due to having extremely long legs. All runners participating are fantastic no matter what pace. I was just extremely proud of myself for doing something that I never thought I would.
I've not run since getting disqualified from the 1500 metres at sports day some 20 years ago. They said I was showing off for running another lap when in reality I just didn't count right.
And yet I bet three months ago it was the runners that were crazy?!
Mighty fine job... enjoy closing it out.
