Congrats on your progress so far and Good luck!!!

Take it slow and steady and you'll make it!

Someone told me to break up the run into 4 lots of 5 minutes as it's easier to concentrate on jogging for five minutes at a time, you've done that before, only difference is no walking in between!

At least that's what everyone has told me, I'm on w5r2 tomorrow so I'm only one run behind you! Let us know how it went :-)

Good luck again :-)

The programme has prepared you for this run so you are ready for it. From now on, it's mostly a mental challenge so run very slowly, tell your head to get a grip and enjoy that fantastic feeling after you've done it, then post and tell us all about it! Good luck.

Good Luck Vic, just keep doing what youve been doing and you will be fine, promise xxx

Keep calm , deep breaths dont panic, be strong, you can do it !

If it helps, break the time down into 5 minute chunks . You are ready for this, and you are going to feel soo amazing after this one and then you can come on here and tell us how brilliant you feel !

Onwards, always :-) xxx

Don't worry its a mental challenge more than a physical one if you have followed the plan you are well prepared and the feeling afterwards is priceless !!

Well done on getting this far, I'm doing week 6 run 2 tomorrow and I dreaded week 5 run 3 but after wards I realised it's not as bad as it sounded, from around the 3rd week, I started converting the minutes in to seconds so it didn't sound as bad or as much to me, 20mins is equalivent to 1200seconds, but it might just be me thinking seconds doesn't sound as long as minutes do, I'm sure you can complete this run, you've come so far,

Take care,

Siobhan x

Hi, hope you got on OK today. I did my W5R3 this morning too and it went pretty well. I was apprehensive beforehand too as it seemed to be quite a step up (from the prior run) but each 5 minute section seemed to pass quite well and I managed fine. In the past I've run very occassionally but never, ever looked forward to a run and now I find I'm looking forward to the next run. I really do think the gradual C25K approach is the way to do it. All being well I'm hoping to complete the programme and then move on to social running as I feel that will help to keep me motivated. Best wishes. Andy

Well done Vicxzy! I just did my 20mins this morning. I never believed that I could run for that long. Great feeling. Let us know how you get on next week. πŸ˜ƒ

Well done! If you can do the 20 minute run, you can definitely finish the programme. I had a real mental battle with 20 minutes, but after that it somehow got easier. Good luck!
