Did W4 R1!!

Can't believe I managed it! Feel so great now! Found the second 5 minute run pretty tough, but boy did I feel good when it was finished. No problem with my breathing now, I think it was a combination of cold air and not enough puffs on my asthma reliever last week. I managed to control my breathing like Laura said, and only breathed in through my nose!! Can't wait for my next run, planned for bank holiday Monday. It is in an unfamiliar town but I have plotted out my route already using walk jog run and am so excited! My 15 year old daughter is planning on joining me which is a bit daunting; she can't understand why my "runs" are "only jogs and not sprints"!!!! Oh to be so young again!!! Best of luck to all who are also on W4!

Well done, I'm on week 4 too and found it tough yesterday! I certainly can't do four counts for breathing in like Laura suggests in week 2, but she gets me through. Good luck for the next few weeks.

Thanks Reidy, good luck to you too! Sometimes I panic a bit with the breathing but then just try to slow down the running a bit and then breathe a bit deeper and slower - seems to work (kind of, says she, like she's some sort of expert!) All I know is could barely run at all just over 3 weeks ago and just did w4r2 this morning without too much pain!!! If I can do it, so can you! Let's keep going, it will be worth it !😁😁😁😁😁

Glad it's not just me who can't manage to do the breathing "right".

Week 4 starts tomorrow!

It was good. I kept breathing but not in any "four steps in, four steps out" kind of way.
