Just done R2 of Wk8 - and unbelievably considering I've been running for 8 weeks it was the first time I'd been out in the rain!
I don't normally go out the morning after we return from a show as we get home late and we're pretty exhausted - but I'm champing at the bit to graduate so hauled my sorry self out of bed at 6 and got going. I was more tired than usual, but doesn't it just set you up for the day and re-energise you?
And I reckon I was carrying so much rainwater in my clothes I weighed a good few pounds more. Which means I burned more calories. Which means I can eat cake. Malteser cake anyone??

Yes please. Looks scrummy Well done for getting out of bed and getting out there - I love running in the rain. You're nearly there now, I'm off to but myself some party poppers. I could throw Maltesers, I suppose, but that would either hurt or be very messy.
I was hoping for a long run this morning, but it's pissing down, windy and I've got to pick my son up from a GCSE exam at 10.30, so here I still am sitting at the pooter reading posts. The rain is due to stop by 4ish. I've never run that late in the day before, but I might give it a go. Food/drink are the problem for me - even if I've eaten a few hours before running, I seem to get heartburn and feel sick when I run. I guess there's only one way to find out if I can do it ...
That cake looks sublime. That really would prevent me from running for the rest of the day!!
