W9 begins..... and my first 5K!!!

Just back with a glow on after my first run of week 9. It felt almost comfortable today, and I still had legs when Laura said stop, so I was naughty and carried on for another five minutes (no twinges or pains or strains anywhere).

I JUST RAN 5K!!!!!!!

Even a week ago, I thought I'd graduate ok, but was convinced I'd have to work after week 9 on getting up to the magic 5!

Lovely morning for it, too - spring seems to have sprung :)

Isn't that a great feeling? You feel as if you have conquered the world. Congragulations.

I had it in my mind that I'd have a go at completing 5K this week, but thought it would be my last run on Friday when I tried. Chuffed that I managed it today without much drama!

Good! You're on it now Steve and going for the line. You'll finish in fine style.

I dare hardly mention 10 k. Oops, sorry

Thanks.

I'm still walking on air - my legs feel slightly tired but otherwise fine. I'll definitely be thinking about a Park Run soon. 5K seemed a long way off just a week ago!

Yay!! Congratulations Steve :)

Only a couple more runs until you've finished the program too.

What a high to start the week on!
