So on the advice of Aussie I bought an indoor exercise bike. I picked it up last night and had a 10 minute go on it before bed. Woke up this morning with an odd feeling - no pain in my ankle. Very strange. So look outside. It's snowing (that wasn't forecast). Skins, Shorts, vest, top, windjacket, socks and shoes check. Rico - collar, treats and lead. Ankle is still fine (I may be dreaming). Walk up the hill in the snow for my warm up. Then off I go. Run walk with Rico. It doesn't get better than this. I took it steady and did 5.47k in just under 42 mins. It wasn't about speed, it wasn't about records, it was just for the sheer joy of being able to run again. Lots of stretching when I got back and then thought why not have another go on the exercise bike. I put a spin class on from youtube and did 7.4 miles in 27 mins. Ankle feels good. Now off for a relaxing bath. What a great start to the day.
