First walk/run with Rico this week as I've been all over this week. Set off in the dark with reluctant Rico. Headtorch batteries need recharging and running throught the woods is slow when you're trying not to injure yourself. No PBs No great distance just a lovely walk run in the fresh air. Feels like summer again apart from the mud it was really warm.4.9k in 37 mins moving time was fine by me. Two sprints when it just felt great to be alive - one on tarmac, one on a downhill grass slope. Rico overtook me at that point as he revelled in just running as fast as you can. Best pace according to Miss Garmin 2.46 min/km if only I could run that fast for a minute
My 3 nieces are coming for my 18year old daughters birthday weekend and the youngest at 14 wants to go for a run with me. Looking forward to it.
Happy Running all

Well done GF. That sounded like fun! I try and run with the hound when he's not acting daft. Just short bursts but that's ok
I think running through woods in the gloom must be quite tricky but as long as you watch where you're putting your feet you should do ok. So long as you watch out for the trees in front of you too! LOL
Enjoy running with your niece! My niece has just taken up C25k! She's on week 3 I think. She texts me when she's got to the finish line. Infectious isn't it!
Thanks MW. Yes loved it. Short steps work for me through the woods. My niece competes across Scotland and is quite close to the front in her age group so hopefully she'll slow down for me
Yeah can imagine. I've used map my run in phone twice and it's great to look at how you've done and your route. Just too awkward to handle a phone running. It's a pain! I need to do some garmin research!! Definately!!!
