Alarm went off 6am (on a Sunday?) no way was I getting up as I'd had a really busy day yesterday. I've done 3 runs this week as well but I know I'm going to London and Birmingham for work so fitting runs in is going to be tough. 7:30 rolls round and I find myself putting on my running gear. Wake Rico get doggy bits together and off we go.
Much slower when you're waiting for your pooch. He lagged behind all the time, stocking up on brambles and crab apples as we passed his favourite spots. After about 3k when I had to put the lead on to cross a road he just lay down but I got him going again with some liver cake.
A really enjoyable run in the morning sun with Rico trotting along. No diversions for pheasants or deer which was nice. 9.64k - No PBs but no injuries just a warm glow.
Hope you all have great runs today

Great post, GF! That's what it's about, isn't it - we get a bit focused on PBs sometimes and forget that running is about that warm glow and the buzz we get from it! Great stuff; well done on a great run. Hope you manage to get time to run in the week; not easy when you're being sent all over the place!
Sounds like a fab run GF . I have to laugh at Rico, he sounds so funny, always on the lookout for something to eat on his way around ha ha . One of my pugs, Rocky is exactly the same. Where I walk there are lots of apple and pear trees. Theres always a few that have fallen off, so he always has a good munch . At least theyre healthy ha ha
Enjoy the rest of your day , that sounds like a really good run you had there xxx
Thanks Poppypug yes a retriever that retrieves lost apples and brambles and the odd tennis ball. He's not that great at fetch but always brings home a stick as a trophy so we have a large collection for our firepit. Sounds like Rocky would get on well with Rico. Have a great sunday
Lol ... i tried running with one of mine on the 2nd week. What an experience...i kept having to double back to get him out of the bushes (he is partial to a lizzard hunt!)
The gps tracking map was all over the place at the end of that run i can tell ya!!
