My first 5k!

I did it in 37' 8" so there’s plenty of room for improvement but given that I couldn’t run 100 yards this time last year I’m really very pleased with myself. My longest run to date had been 33 minutes so I did have to push myself. Bonus: I got to watch about 20 Coastguards doing a rescue training exercise.

That's brilliant! Such an achievement - keep at it (even if it's only to see those coastguards a second time). Pat on the back for you I think.

well done brezzie :D good to do a 5K and not such a bad time :D a good benchmark :D no comment about coastguards haha

Well done. I love to see the birds early in the morning... even lucky enough to spot a cormorant a while back!

Haha! I didn’t have a camera on me. Besides it was hardly Baywatch. They were all wrapped up in big yellow suits so the pictures are in my imagination…

Well done! Great feeling isn't it?! I did mine last night and am still buzzing today 😃

Well done on the 5K, a real milestone. It's always nice to have something interesting to look at on a run and coastguards are something you wouldn't see in a gym !!
