Week 1 finished!!

Well we have finished week one! Jo-Jo did really well in her first week but is worried about moving from 60 secs to 90secs, especially with a shorter rest. Any advice from you lovely people?

Excellent. Well done. I always panicked before each new week but as Laura will tell you 'you can do it'. Trust the programme it really does work.

My advice is slow and steady, do not set off to fast like I did a few times. When I Steady my pace down I got through it. Well done on W1 :-)

I've said it before and I'll say it again - bring on Week 2 because there are only 6 runs instead of 8. Simples! (and you will hardly notice that they are just a teensy few seconds more each time!)

Hey how ya doing Chimpsons ? Well done on completing Week 1 ! Its always a little bit daunting moving up a week, but don't worry, you've completed Week 1 , youre ready for Week 2 !

Slow and steady is the way, trust in Laura, you CAN do it. Just keep going, one foot in front of the other ,keep calm, deep breaths and enjoy it :-) xxx

I agree with Belindauk. The programme has been carefully designed (and tested by many thousands!) and so, whilst each suceeding week "steps things up" it should all be do-able if you are sticking to "the rules".

However, for all sorts of reasons some people find the prospect of certain weeks a real challenge.

I'd say give W2 a go at first and, if it is genuinely too much, do W1 again until running confidence is built up.

It is really important to remember that this programme is not about speed, but about keeping going, building stamina. How fast you run is not important. One other thing - aches are OK and you should expect them from time to time, but real pain needs to be checked out by a professional.

Good luck to you both - a bit of grin and bear it and you'll succeed - the rush is great when you do!

We'll done on week 1. I did week 2 run 1 last night. After the first 90 second run I never thought I would finish but I think I went too fast, after that it wasn't so bad and I was surprised when I got to the last run. You can do it, think positive. Good luck.

(Ps sorry if you get more than one reply I'm having trouble with my computer!)

You absolutely can do it. Only six runs, only 90 seconds each and you can go as slow as you like. Let us know how it goes :)
