Finished week 1!!!

Hi everyone, I have recently joined the C25k movement, inspired by a friend. I am trying to get back into shape after having a baby 9 months ago. I know, I am only in the begining of the journey, but to me, each run is a big achievement. I have tried to get into running several times before, but always gave up. I even held back from posting here before because I was afraid of giving up before the end of week 1! So I really need the support from this comminity.

The road ahead will be long, but I hope I can do it. Brong on week 2!

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

The guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

C25K really is a brilliantly successful way to learn to run, with a gently progressive structure that brings rewards and identifiable progress in a very short time. This community is the icing on the cake and we will cheer you to the finish line.

Enjoy your journey.

I gave you the wrong link. This healthunlocked.com/couchto5... will be more use, I suspect.

Welcome to C25k. This programme really works, so well done for starting it. Just take it slowly and enjoy running with this lovely community. It’s not easy but we are with you every step of the way. 🏃‍♀️👏

Wahey! Week 1 done and dusted, onwards and upwards! You can definitely do it! 🎉🎊 I don’t think anyone who has ever joined this programme was a runner before they started. I hated running a few months back and would have laughed to think I might get to a point where I could run for 20 minutes straight without collapsing. But, you will get there :) Just don’t go too fast, the aim is to be able to run for prolonged periods, so it’s about stamina rather than speed.
