So I’ve completed week one. Knee is doing ok so that has made me feel better! It’s been quiet an easy week but I’m sure as I move onto week 2 it will start to get harder!!

I dunno... that first run is the toughest run I’ve ever done! You’ve just beaten the week with the biggest step up... going from couch to where you are now is tough... you’ve done 20 minutes of cardio on each session wrapped with 5 minutes at each end of brisk walking... also cardio. So that’s 90 minutes done this week... which is a thing to celebrate, and in those terms week 2 is exactly the same.

What helped me was to count off the run intervals, it seemed much better counting down from 5 than 8 was. There’s no need to doubt yourself though... look at what you did... you’re amazing and will show yourself that many times on your running journey. Keep the pace down and your head up, you’re doing great!

Thanks! So far I’ve not even tried to make an excuse either! So I’m proud of myself for that more than anything! I’m enjoying being with my thoughts.

Can’t beat that headspace... you’re doing better than I was, all I could think about was the bloody running at this stage 🤣

I want to do a 5k and maybe a 10k by September (before I’m 30) so I am motivated 😂. Need to tick it off the bucket list. I envy you’re already at that stage ha x

Plenty of time to hit that 10k up. When I arrived here I was in awe of those doing that already too, but they were (and are) such an inspiration to me that 15 months later I went and ran my first half marathon. 10k by 30... and then maybe 21k by 31... maybe even 42k by 32, who knows?! You can achieve anything you are determined to do... and I get a real inspiration to this day watching here as people start their journey. Keep inspiring others and enjoy reaching all of your goals in running and life.
