Just completed my week 9 of couch to 5k

Although I have done most of it on a treadmill, I am pleased to say I have completed my couch to 5k week 9 runs :) Running for 30 minutes at times has felt like a struggle but I just kept going and I feel elated that I have completed the course. When I first started back in March I could only run for 3 minutes before feeling tired so I am very happy to say that I have continued with the course and I would recommend it to anybody that would like to start running/jogging but doesn't know how to. The course builds up your stamina slowly and it really does work :) I have become a happier and healthier person too :)

Congratulations on completing it - it must be an amazing feeling! It's great the way C25K builds up your stamina. Don't worry about the only a treadmill thing, 30 minutes is 30 minutes whether inside or outside. Actually I find inside a bit harder as there's less to distract you. Maybe you could try outside now that there's no pressure to push on. Hope you give yourself a well deserved pat on the back either way.

Congratulations again!

Well done, the graduate badge will look good against your name :-)

If I can give one piece of advice set yourself a new goal to aim for. I found I lost direction for a while after graduating. My new goal is a little extreme in that I have signed up for a half marathon but it could be running 30 minutes outside or taking part in a park run or something else.

What ever you choose, keep running!

Hi guys, Thanks for all the hearty messages :) I think my next goal is to work on my speed and then do a parkrun, my neighbour invited me to go with her sometime and I would like to, and now that I feel more confident will start to run outdoors more too and save the treadmill for rainy days :) x

Huge congratulations to you. I agree with your regarding the plan, it certainly gives you whole different feel about yourself and it is excellently put together. Not only do we all deserve gold medals, but so does the NHS: a fantastic running plan.
