First hurdle hit

Was planning on doing day 3 of week 1 today. Got to oval. Warmed up and started but REALLY struggled. Didn't complete. Got to 60% but was shattered. Made up with a swim but disappointed. Realised I'd only had a banana at 8, and ran at 11. Hoping that was it. Anyone had similar prob? Not beating myself up:-) gone from couch to a lot of exercise so will try again tomorrow:-)

Fuelling was probably on the meagre side. I have my half a banana and glass of water immediately before I go out for my morning 5k runs (a whole banana and larger glass of water for 10k) and that normally works for me. Stick with it and you will very soon see an improvement in breathing and recovery times.

Good luck.

Just keep on plugging away. No problem at all if you need to repeat a run. You are out there, off the couch and building fitness and stamina all the time. You have a positive attitude so you will get there. Good luck!

your body is still getting used to running, it will complain in all sorts of ways. Just perservere and work out the best way of your eating....it will come together :)

Thanks all for the inspiring and supportive comments. Seriously! It REALLY helps. Night out last nite resulted in falling over and badly cutting left knee! ( not alcohol induced- but pavement!) resting up and hitting the track tomorrow. Storms here. Running in the rain:-) great:-) will be sure to fuel myself!!!
