Well, I nearly turned back in the first minute of warm up, as it was chucking it down as I left the gym. However I thought What the heck, the rain will keep me cool and I'm usually soaked at the end anyhow! Determined to work hard as it had been 4 days since run 2 and I was wondering whether it was too long a gap, but thought I would see how it went. Got into my stride about 15 minutes in and thinking about how great I would feel when I'd finished kept me going. As I'm a bit of a plodder, I kept jogging through the cool down doing another lap of the park. I ran for 41 minutes in total and achieved 4k. I easily did 5k with the warm up and cool down so am well chuffed!
