I woke early this morning feeling excited, it's quiet out there, is it raining? I got out of bed, looked out the window, just a gentle breeze - right I'm going running!
Got downstairs, it's a bit dark oops it's only 5am!! Off I go hubby's going to catch me up. Oh, all the street lights are on, then as I started stomping down the street they played with me and went off just as I got to them really strange.
After 5 minutes running I'm on the main road, what a beautiful pinky orangy sky truly amazing. I would have missed that had I stayed in bed!!
The 30 minutes flew by, before I was ready Laura was saying you're nearly there just 60 seconds to go, I can't believe I've done it - 3 times 30 minute runs this week!!
On the walk back I asked hubby if he ever thought I would be able to run for 30 minutes, his answer - "I never doubted it, the grin when you'd finished those first few runs was enough even though you were knackered, I knew you were hooked and would get to the end" he then added " you're stubborn and won't give in so I knew you'd do it"
My new goal is to run 5k in under 30 minutes, the most I've done is 4.3k, then I'm going to work up to 10k. Can't wait for the next run!!
Thank you everyone, this forum has made me laugh and cry, you've all helped me along my journey with your advice, encouragement and wise words Thanks again.
I've done it and I can't stop grinning!!

Amazing and very well done to you. Thirty minutes running is brilliant. I graduated around 8 months ago and even though I run 2 X 5 and a 10 each week, I still only manage a 5k in 34 minutes at my fastest. I wouldn't want you to be disappointed! When I graduated, I ran 3 X 30 minutes for a few weeks and one day, I had a good run and kept going to do a 5k. It took me 43 minutes but I did it. Then I just kept adding distance a small increase at a time
