Managed to 12K
Whoop Whoop! indeed, you have done really well Carole. I must get adding a bit extra onto my runs soon, but I think it would take me a while to do what you are doing x
It won't trust me but you do need to make or have the time. With the warm up and cool down as well as the run I was out for nearly 2 hours! Even the children started to miss me! It started off bad again - but after 35 minutes and the help of my own playlist ( I always listen to week 9 first!! still...) breathing was steady and legs felt better. I am so chuffed as I was starting to become a little demoralised and as losing the love for it. Happy to say it's back and good luck to you. Since graduating we have all taken different paths and it is really nice to read about it here. Keep on posting makes my day reading all! x
Wow, 12K, I'm impressed! That seems like a million miles to me at the moment!
And to me!!!
Thanks Bazza and you will. I really take my hat off to you and running in those temperatures!! I hate running in the sun and wish for cold breezy wet days that really help along the way. I also choose a very straight pleasant place to run that eats up miles so no battles with hill etc. Whilst I am very chuffed I cannot claim any great feat apart from little old me doing something I never ever thought `I would or could do. Good luck to you and hope you devise a gadget to comfort your run that simulates Blighty weather!
Thanks yonda. It was in no great time just plodded along. After graduating I did week 9 and kept on adding time on top with each run. Getting a Garmin watch (even though it's packed up! getting another!)helped me recognise my distance and just increased from there. Keep at it, I couldn't run for 2 mins in January and t is this programme that I am extremely grateful to that got me to stage and you will too!
That's amazing progress in such a short time, well done. It's good once you have those start/stop markers for a distance, it becomes mentally easier IME.
Well done Cazzer!
12k k. Flipping eck. I walked 11 k today so I have an idea what's involved. Respect!!!
I've done 10 k and am now setting my sights higher.
I did run a bit of the way yes, but I had walking boots on and it's not easy. I had a run later on in the day anyway and then had to walk/run home from there, so a good day for exercise!
The flab is shifting and just the stubborn bits are hanging on for grim death. LOL Yuk! Too much information
Hello again, I was relating to your running stance (mine is pathetic!)) but our bits are just part of a transitional process. It will be interesting to see actually what parts of us start to form a different shape now. Cakes have seriously become more attractive to me ! Keep posting you have been lovely to others too!
