Unfortunately Zumba can't replace it. I know it must feel frustrating knowing your doing all this work but at least there are only positive results from everything you are doing. The reason I say it can't is because it has been very carefully set up to build and strengthen your muscles and joints. So each and every run has to be done. It's set up that way to help with things like a hurting knees and such. Running uses so many different muscles from other exercises. I was a swimmer and walker before running and I found myself using muscles that had never been used so they have to be treated with a bit of TLC. It's only a short program doing the third run won't make much difference In your graduation time. If you are really sore it might be worth taking an extra day off for healing. Good luck.

I have only just finished week 4 so not an expert by any stretch but I do believe you need to stick to the programme i also swim twice a week and do a LBT class for an hour and a gym session along with the three runs I do the other exercise on my run days which gives me the rest days to fully recover as I don't do any extra on those days not sure if this helps guess you just have to find what suits you best good luck and happy running

Definitely stick to the programme and do the third run for the week. I cycle, do Pilates exercises at home, walk the dog and various other things throughout the week but I don't skimp on the C25K - not worth the risk. If anything, I tend to repeat weeks due to my age and level of fitness at the moment. I'm not overly worried how long it takes me to graduate as I am simply enjoying the building up of stamina and fitness. Enjoy the programme and good luck with your future runs. Best wishes.
