Week 3 is shorter, stupid!

Quite by chance when I started W1 I picked a route that brought me back within a hundred metres of my house in the 29.5 mins. Pretty neat! W2 it brought me right up to my door in 30mins. Excellent! Set off on W3R1 this morning and what happens? When I have supposedly finished after 25 mins I am still nearly a km away from home! Need to find a slightly shorter route. Duh!

Hi ChrisL, I had the same experience around that point. I just took a slightly longer walk home. then I found the route was not long enough in later weeks.

I just walk more if I end up further away from home - it's no bad thing :)

I noticed that! When you get to the end of w3 it says you have ran for 12 mins in total on each of the runs but it's actually only 9!! Think there has been some amendments to the original program. I just did a couple of 1 min runs on longer walk home to keep fitness up! X

Good plan. I have modified my W3 programme to be 4x 3min runs. That way I will get home without a long boring walk.

If you print off the chart on here of the programme it tells you the times of each run and the amount of running your actually doing... Am on Wk 3 about to do my 2nd run and i knew it was only 9mins all together i would be running.. It was over very quickly..on my 1st run i was glad for that though..lol

When i got home i looked at the chart and noticed that as the wks go on some are longer than others... The chart is excellent as you can visually see what you are completing every run...i find the chart a god send to me...
