They had cones to close off a road but I did not see anyone else so I had the first part of my route to myself again. Nothing worse than struggling up the ramp to the bridge breathing heavy then get overtaken by sprightly gazelles with numbers on their back. I am not comparing myself just glad to be alone when I am struggling, which thankfully I was today.
I followed the same route as week 2 going over the bridge again. Also the draft from the cars whizzing by underneath helped cool me down and at 12.5 mins that was very welcome.
When I first ran this route I felt sickly afterwards but today I felt ok so either I am getting fitter or the weather is getting cooler making it an easier run.
So that looks like 25 mins complete and apparently if I carry on there is a wide road with footpaths all the way down so looks like I have a 28 mins route sorted for next week.

I have not exactly followed a schedule religiously in the way others' may have done but I like to think we all get there in the end. Indeed week 8 next and just looking on maps for a route as nothing worse than rounding a corner and a couple of yards in both pavements disappear so trying to think ahead for a change.
Last week was the first time I went over the motorway bridge and to get up there a ramp is used so running up there was definitely a struggle and I think I expended a lot of energy. I then continued on for another 12.5 minutes and when I stopped I felt a little sickly. Today going up there was a little easier. From now on this will be on all my runs as the only way I can run for more than 20 mins without coming back on myself which is what I was doing but week 7 felt like the right time for a challenge. I did think about doing this for week 9 but jumped the gun a little π.
Well done amisfit sounds like a great run and you are definitely getting fitter π I've also just completed w7r3 today. So I will start week 8 on Tuesday π¬π¬ nervous about the progression to 28 minutes but excited too.
Thank you and any run I do not feel like I am about to be ill is a good run π. I think I am but I have further to go than most as I was sick not so long ago so I am doing physio too but concentrating on other areas so not running.
Congrats on your week 7 Run 3. Did you have any epiphanies or just another run. I have tests on Tuesday so may be Wednesday or Thursday for me. I am following my own programme. I have confidence in you and may be a little in me also. We can.
No epiphanies really, other than the last time I did it I limped home with ankle pain then had a break from running for 10 days. So the fact I completed it with no pain or limping and I've no pain now (touch wood) and I can move onto week 8 on Tuesday that's put a smile on my face.
Well double the kudos for you then if that's the case you've done even more amazing well done!
That sounds like an epiphany to me. You have learned you can take a long break and come back fighting fit. Thank you but I am not sure I could have left a gap that long without a few warm up runs so you have done great.
Yeah that didn't go so well as going into a new estate looked like a straight route across and in hindsight it was but I followed this road round and round into a dead end and came back on myself and there is a steep ish camber across grassland but going up my legs felt like lead but once out of the estate a left and I was back on the route from last week so all good in the end but when running through small estates you have to accept there may be glitches π
The only one which was steep was the ramp which leads over the motorway. The path which leads from one side of the estate to the other had a slight incline hardly noticeable but 3 minutes after climbing up to the motorway I really felt that small incline. That's where I am a masochist as I will do the same run next time knowing where I am going helps.
