Week 7 run 2 complete :) and I finished the time trial.

Following on from my previous post, I am absolute shock! Not only did I run the 25 minutes, I ran the full 5k in less than 32 minutes!

I have ever intention to walk the last 5/10 minutes as a cool down but I got caught up in the moment and carried on to the end. It's the first time ever that I have ran a full 5k without walking and I even managed a sprint finish :)

The running club was so friendly and I really think that I am going to fit in nicely with such a lovely bunch of enthusiastic runners. I think that was some of the reason I carried on, the support was amazing.

Times are posted on their newsletter and bulletin board on Thursday but my friend came in just before me at 29 minutes and on that basis she has worked my finish out as under 32 minutes! I will be happy to get 35 or under but my main goal was to finish which I did.

I am going to enjoy my rest day tomorrow, I have one last run of week 7 left and then a slow and steady park run on Saturday, as I don't want to push it to much.

This c25k is such a lifestyle changer, it's truly wonderful :)

The club is so friendly, but I will have to avoid all the free cake they offer :)

I will need to wait for the official time before I fully celebrate my pace but I am so happy that I ran the complete 5k tonight.

You're doing really well. BUT don't do too much, too soon. Take care and don't push yourself too much. Some of us, mentioning no names, are crocked through being too enthusiastic.

Thank you miss Wobble :) I am resting today and only doing the regular 25 minutes tomorrow morning. :) I have a parkrun Saturday which is my normal run day but I am only running the 28 minutes for week 8 and walking the rest well unless I finish in 28 but that is highly unlikely lol!

Ok, so my official time is in and all I can say is my friend isn't very good at timings lol! But I did it in 33:48 so not the sub 32 we had guessed but I am truly chuffed with my time :) I have never ran a full 5k before and I managed to do that in under 34 minutes. I have 4 weeks until the next time trial and will hopefully have graduated by then so fingers crossed I see an improvement on my time too :)
