What has become of life then that I went out for a run rather than getting drunk and playing with the new TV. C25K what have you done to me....It felt a bit easier for week 2 run 2 but the walking pace fell away at the end of interval 4 and 6 but overall it felt easier. Recovery time is getting better, and breathing was easier too.
The stretches from the bio-mechanical man has helped loosen off the legs, bum and back and its making the running a little easier to.
Day of rest now, and back out tomorrow.
Good luck to anyone out there, keep on running....
Well done for getting out there! I'm sure you'll feel the benefit of "wise choices" and hope you keep motivated all the way through the programme. The benefits are definitely more far reaching that "just"(!!) being able to run for half an hour.
Good for you. It is amazing what we find ourselves doing for the sake of running. For the first year ever I am contemplating drinking less Xmas day so I can join nerdios virtual Boxing Day run. Good luck for your next weeks runs.
Incredible, isn't it. Week 2 and you are already seeing an improvement in your recovery times and your breathing as your body gets used to the extra demands that you are putting on it. Without being at all fanatical, you will find that running does change your life and outlook and maybe some of your less than beneficial habits too. This morning I did Parkrun with a couple of hundred (my estimate) of like minded individuals, just out to start the weekend in a celebration of running that is free, friendly and fun. Six months ago I would have thought that was a very strange thing to do at nine o'clock on a Saturday morning.
Keep up the good work Steve. Slow but sure, run by run, week by week, you will be building up your stamina and strength. When you hit weeks 5 you think nearly half way, then week 6 and then it's in touching distance. Laura will get you through to the end. No worries
Good luck. You're doing the right thing. See you at the end when we're clapping you at your Graduation
