After finishing work at 12:15 today as a meeting that was planned had been rescheduled, I thought why not head out for a quick run. Just a short 3km as I am hopefully going to be competing in my first Parkrun on Saturday but oh no, it seems the running gods above had a different plan in store for me today.
The first km arrived quickly and left the station to head onwards to the 2nd km. Once km number 2 arrived, it promptly left and turned into number 3. By this point I was thinking βthis run feels good, I mean really goodβ so I carried on. Km 3 came and went in a blur as did km number 4 and still it felt good. Really good. So onwards I went, 5km came upon me and flashed by and then 6km was upon me and here is where the kilometre train terminated!!
One of my all time favourite tunes!! Iβm looking forward to my first Parkrun as Iβve been trying to fit one in for about 4 weeks!! University open day have put paid to Parkruns but Iβve got a free Saturday this week!!
I love this post. I am literally singing along with you π I had a similar run on Monday. Accidentally ran 6.7K π¬ All tech failed and I felt good so just kept going. Mapped my route when I got home and was gobsmacked! Keep on running up that Hill I am running up there with ya ππ
Ooh that does sound like a lovely run. I canβt wait until Saturday so I can run again, itβs just too dark when I get home from work. IEnjoy your park run mine was a very friendly affair last week, my first time on grass and it was hard to run as I couldnβt hear my feet! Hope the weather is kind too.
Thankyou. I can see that youβre almost in that graduate podium so Iβm sending you my running luck!! After graduation the freedom comes so youβll be able to pop out for those longer lovely runs ππ
That's fabulous, it's a massive feeling when you feel you can just keep running, god it does wonder for your soul. Great work there, keep reliving the moment π²πββοΈπββοΈ
