Tough run.

Two things learned from todays run:

I am NOT a morning runner.

I don't like running on an empty stomach.

Other than that, still managed my 5k in a modest 35.30.

Still excited for first parkrun on Saturday, providing I can get out of bed. ;)

Good luck for Saturday, and that is a very nice time for your 5k if you don't like running on an empty stomach why not have half a Banana just make sure its at least 30-60 mins before you run

Unfortunately I hate bananas. Which is a shame cos I know they'd be a perfect snack.

Thank you both. Normally I work every Saturday so this is my first and only chance to do a parkrun really, as I'm off this week.

I'd be lucky to even get 5 or 6 in in a year. It's gonna take a long time to run my way to those parkrun tshirts! :(

Good luck for sat I am sure you will love it I hate banans too -- very inconvenient. I just run on 1oatabix with milk which is not very exciting but I had scone and jam after at cafe very conveniently near start of parkrun

Sounds lovely. I'm planning on post run cuppa on sat but doing slimming world too means I should really pass on the scone.

Good luck for Saturday. I am sure I saw someone on here had dates for a quick energy boost before a run. Not 100% on that maybe someone will confirm it for me. Looks like you have a good time already.

I admire your commitment to SWorld I have been trying to lose weight too but was really hungry after parkrun so gave into scone Good luck in reaching your target
