1st post grad run...tough one!

Hey you lovely lot! Have just got back from my 1st 30 min run since graduating on Thursday. Not sure if it’s because I’ve had two days off or just because I’m a bit tired but that was tough!

I waited until it was cool and was properly hydrated but actually thought at 10 mins that I wouldn’t be able to do it! I did of course, but it was a hard.

Still like Laura says, a bad run is better than no run at all!

Here’s hoping that Tuesday is better! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Hope you guys are all ok 👍

I was the same tonight Susie. Slog doesn't cut it! I'm blaming a busy (physically) day. Gardening, washing cars, laundry and bouncy castle-ing, latter just setting up for the little un!

Graduated 3 weeks ago managing to run 5K in 37-39 mins but still struggling with last 1k. Weather has been very hot here but not sure there is much progress 😔

Just put it down to one of those runs, we all had them during the 9 weeks so it’s not as if they will just stop because we are at the 30mins. My first grad run was painful in many ways (running an hour after dinner - bad idea) but tonight was heaps better.

Hey, ive been the same. Im putting it down to the heat. I done a run on wed last week only managed 15 mins and gave up. I was so cross with myself i done another run later. I done it but still found it hard going. Completed the run again on friday still finding it hard going. Not sure whats going on..?

I do think the heat definitely has something to do with it! Also I think it’s hard when you no longer have something to aim for? I don’t know! I just know that the programme was so structured and now it’s down to us to help ourselves to progress and I find that hard! I like being told what to do! I hope things get better for you and you find your mojo again 😊

I graduated a couple of weeks ago and initially found it ok but had 5 days off and am struggling to up the pace using 'Stepping Stones' will just have to keep at it. But as you rightly say a bad run for 30 mins is better than no run.

Not what you're looking for?
