Well done for getting back into it as soon as possible. Type 1 or Type 2? It was a bit of a shock for me when diagnosed as Type 2 with high colesterol and blood pressure - but running has helped me to become more controlled and deal with the situation.

I hope that you will find the same. Good luck

I just finished W2D1 today as well. I was surprised that I wasn't more winded, but my knees are killing me! Sorry about the diabetes - my hubs goes in to talk to the doctor about his tomorrow. The running should help, shouldn't it?

I have been told by the doctor that running is the best thing. Well done to you for completing as well and I hope your husband gets on alright at the doctors.

WELL DONE for keeping going. As a person who, for my entire life, has had to eat the moment I am up because I feel weak, sickly, I was diagnosed T2 diabetic 6 years ago. I've always had a weight issue, to which people frequently said 'It is easy to loose weight - you just stop eating when you feel full' Problem was I have never felt full in my whole life!.

Since about half way through this program I now know what it is to feel full. I was in for my review yesterday, and my blood pressure was 'perfect - best it's ever been'. My blood sugars have started to drop again and my weight is also slowly dropping. All this directly due to the 30 minute non-stop running 3 times a week. When I was first diagnosed I was still working (CAD operator) sitting at a computer seriously stressed for too many hours a week (IRO 60p/w) Stress plus sedentary work and lack of exercise is the killer (I never did eat the 'junk' foods)

The advice to diabetics is to get moving and keep active. It was hard to fit that in when I worked but now I am retired I can do it! And IT DOES WORK! Keep active!

ALL POWER TO YOU to keep up the good work!

May I ask, caweeks, why you feel the diabetes means you have to do it on a treadmill?

The very best thing you can do for yourself as T2 diabetic is to bat on with this program. It will work wonders for you! Keep to a low carb diet and you'll soon feel loads better.

Keep us posted as to how you are getting on. We are all behind you!

At moment not sure if Missed type 1 or type 2 so doc did not want me going out pounding the streets on my own at night just in case went too low. But as its cold and wet at the moment don't mine running in doors but I must say feel great.

Glad the running is making you feel great! I did not realise just how much better keeping active makes me feel and wish I'd done this type of thing a very long time ago. I find this program so user friendly!

Hope all goes well for you with the diabetes. It takes a while to get your head round doesn't it? Keep on with what you are doing! GOOD LUCK!
