Having done my C25k over the winter and run through snow, rain, wind and cold - and living in Scotland it can be cold and windy for much of the time - I have been looking forward to having a chance to run in what I have coined Goldilocks weather: not too hot, not too cold, but just right. So anyway, in from work tonight, and the weather was perfect. I hadn't run for a couple of weeks but I couldn't resist one of my favourite routes, which involves quite a long warm-up walk uphill to get to where I like to start and then it's rough track/path round the edge of some small cliffs, down to a beautiful bay, out round the point and back through the woods - I've done it in ridiculously hellish weather before but never Goldilocks conditions. Suffice to say it wasn't fast and my running wasn't pretty but the views more than made up for it - and I clocked up 6.3km (a PB for me!) so was doubly chuffed. Amazing feeling of well-being and all being right with the world afterwards (although think my knees and hip might not be thanking me for all the uphill walking/running come tomorrow morning.)
I'm going to try add pic up to share my joy! It was taken on my way up to the top of the hill to start and shows the view over the bay where I was about to run down to and around the point and back into the start of the line of trees you can just see in the middle of the pic
