Even though I knew I was running today I couldn't help but over indulge a little last night and I really wasn't sure if I was going to be able to do the run today. I wasn't feeling ill or anything, just sluggish and bleh.
I contemplated moving my run until tomorrow but I really want to be able to complete W5D3 on Tuesday since my husband is home from work that day and I'll be able to do that challenging run during the day with a lot less other people around.
So I went for it and it was better than I thought it would be even though I had to slow it down A LOT since my legs felt really heavy. On the bright side, I know that since I was able to complete 2X 8min runs with a hangover, there's no doubt in my mind I'll be able to do the 20mins on Tuesday. Bring on W5D3!!

Enjoy your next run too, it is the start of the uninterrupted runs and I hope you'll find them really invigorating - when one over indulges in an evening (who doesn't sometimes?) the morning-after run can be really, wonderfully head-clearing, and body fizzing. Just make sure that you are very well hydrated - drink lots of water after the party, and all will be well. Take care, and keep up the positive approach to the programme!
Thanks Linda. It's funny, I was feeling bleh when I started the run but afterwards I did find I felt much better than I did before. I did make sure I drank a ton of water yesterday before the run and I think that's what made it manageable. I am super excited for my next run!
