Week 5 run 2

Did my 2nd run yesterday night. Was so exhausted and almost fell asleep before hand but managed to drag myself up and out to get running. Felt really good to run though my legs were like blocks of lead. Tomorrow is the 20 minute leap. I've never run for 20 minutes before and it's gonna be a big jump for me I think but if Laura thinks I'm ready I'll give it my best shot. Really excited about tomorrow now! Will be running a new route (haven't scoped that out yet) but I think it's gonna be fun.

That's the right attitude - you'll smash it. And it is fun!

You're ready. Just start it really slow and keep it slow and steady. With an attitude like yours, you should sail through it! :) Best of luck.

Well done on getting out there! I did the same run today - 8 mins is such a long time! Wondering about how the 20 mins will go, but as you say, if Laura says we can do it, we will! Good luck! X

Well done you!! 20 is a big leap - I felt just the same but we all manage to get through it - it's funny Laura seems to know what she is doing :-). Have fun and good luck - be thinking of you

Best of luck - and remember, there are no 'fail' runs only Practice Days and Success Days :)

Laura really does know what she's doing and if you think of it as 2 x 10 minute runs it sounds easier. Slow and steady wins the race in C25K 😀

It is a big step up but actually there have been bigger jumps in previous weeks. You are prepared, you can do this! Go slowly, once you hit 10 minutes remember that from there you are counting down not up. Good luck, you'll be fine! :)

The best advice I received on this run is... its not a jump to 20 minutes as you did 16 minutes on run 2, so this is only a 4 minute increase. Certainly helped shut my gremlins up! Good luck and enjoy - once you've finished you'll find you can't stop smiling 😆
