Feeling very underwhelmed...

After the success of week 4 (where I even managed to push myself a bit further than Laura wanted) I thought that at least the first run of week 5 wouldn't be a problem. There was less running than week 4 run 3 but for longer periods. I managed it but returned home feeling very unfulfilled. Laura told me that she knew the sense of accomplishment I felt managing to run 5 minutes non stop but I didn't feel particularly accomplished at all. I know I've got to keep going but it feels difficult when then runs don't seem to be getting much easier, or at least more natural. Has anyone else experienced this? And what did they do to break down the wall?

Run 2 of week 5 will make you feel like you've achieved something as it's two longer runs... I felt like a proper runner. (Run 3 has brought me down to earth with a bump though). Xx

I hope it does, today was a big let down :( and don't worry about it! maybe repeat a few runs and try again? No one ever said it was easy :) x

I think every new run feels proper hard, just keep rising to the challenge. Remember, when you get to the end of each week, you've run further than you did before. It doesn't seem to get any easier but I' m in week 8 now and if you'd said 4 weeks ago I'd be running for 28 mins I'd have cried!

Keep going and listening to Laura, I'm sure you'll be fine :-)

It is hard, I can't lie, but not much that is worthwhile comes easy. Keep going, look back on where you were when you started and how much you have come on since then. You can do it, if you give up you will never improve :)
