Feel abit disappointed, just went for my run and could only do 19mins. It was horrible! thought i was going to be sick. Now im sat here typing this thinking why didnt i just carry on. I have managed all the other runs but this just seemed too much. So i will have to go out Monday and try again!

Week 5 Run 3
But you did 19 mins! That's amazing! Think of a few weeks ago when 60 s was too hard!
Disappointed?? 19 mins is a fantastic achievement, so you didn't quite do what you wanted to, never mind, roll on Monday good luck, Ally x
So wow! I guess you did 19 at an incredible speed compared with my snail-like progress over the same time. Lots of people on here (including Laura on the podcast) say slow and steady is the way to go. It's NOT a race _Remember this!_
You did 19 mins, so don't be too hard on yourself. I found that run really hard going and slowed down at one point to something like walking (probably about 30-45 secs) but wiggled my bottom enough to convince myself that it was running really!! I dragged myself into a run to "finish" so that I could feel like I had finished properly . : } Suppose it was sort of cheating, but didnt re-do the run. I found the following week much easier and thought the long run at the end would be as difficult as the week 5 one, but it wasn't.
You probably want to do it again so that you feel you've beaten it properly, which is understandable, but I'm now on week 8, so don't let "that run" be a barrier to moving on!
Hey, don't knock 19 minutes. That's a fantastic achievement in itself. You will blast this run easily on Monday. x
Only 1 minute away from the 20 minutes! You are doing great! Go out the next run KNOWING you can do 19 minutes and you only need to add 1 more. Sometimes the gremlin gets pretty heavy on our back. Kick him to the curb and Carry on. As already mentioned, slow and steady! Gayle
Yay! 19 minutes is brilliant - you probably just started off too fast. Slow and steady, slow and steady - if you can do 19, you can definitely to 20.
*to* - meant 'do' (Mmm, wine's lovely! )
I ran this today and it was not easy (felt like it was going on forever). The whole time that I was doing it though I was reminding myself that only a few weeks ago I was running for only 1 minute and have improved my fitness so much in such a short space of time. You should give yourself a pat on the back for being able to run for 19 minutes! You will definantely manage 20 minutes next time!
Fantastic - well done!
